The Leki Micro Trail Vario Trekking Poles are ideal for climbing, trail running, small tours or to take along on the road. The Micro Trail Vario Trekking Poles come as a pair.

The Leki Micro Trail Vario Trekking Poles are constructed with 100% HM (Highly-Modular) carbon to meet the highest weight and stiffness demands. If the poles aren't in use, they can be easily folded and can fit in a backpack. By employing a concealed inner cord that runs through all of the poles carbon fibre shaft sections, the "foldable" design allows the poles to collapse down. After each shaft section is aligned, the internal tension locks each section securely in place. This innovative design saves weight while still delivering surprising strength. In order to adjust the length, all you have to do it use the Speed Lock 2 clamp. Even at low temperatures, its ensures quick adjustment and fastening even when wearing thick gloves in wet weather, ice and snow. An important feature of the poles is the Trigger Shark 2.0 System which allows you to attach the security straps to your hands using a hook and loop fastener and then to the handles in seconds. This guarantees superior power transfer at all times. The trigger shark active strap provides a breathable soft inner material while providing an optimised cut with a wide cushioned area for a direct, tight contact to the handle. Lastly, to keep you feeling supported, the trekking poles are equipped with a trail tip for precise pole planting and uncompromising grip.

FOUNDING OF LEKI

LEKI Lenhart GmbH was a spin off from the wood processing plant of Karl Lenhart created in Dettingen under Teck in 1948, which produced the wooden letters for lettering used by bakeries or butchers. LEKI's unique development started as a result of the founders' personal dissatisfaction: Karl Lenhart, an avid skier himself, was less than impressed by the quality and functionality of the ski poles of the time. Therefore, he used his own machine park to manufacture grips and baskets for skiing poles. These went into mass production in the 60s. On the other hand, Lenhart was familiar with aluminium and composite processing on account of his aircraft manufacturing experience. In 1970, he used these raw materials to produce his first ski poles to be sold under the LEKI brand, which stands for the owners and the company headquarters, i.e. Lenhart in Kirchheim.
