Let's Run is a small independent family business based at the foot of the Cleveland Hills in Gt Ayton, North Yorkshire ran by Shelli and Wren the beautiful spaniel.

No description available.

Shelli is an active club runner with NYMAC (North York Moors AC) with time previously at New Marske Harriers.

Lets Run has been open 6 years, originally opening with Tony who passed away in July 2018 running with Nymac, Blyth and Northumberland Fell runners.

Opening our doors to the public for the very first time March 25th 2017 at 9.30am...

The journey was a long process to secure 27 College Sq in Stokesley but one that was worth the effort, we received the long awaited phone call at 3.15pm on Wednesday 22nd of March "You can complete today!"

We rushed to the solicitors to sign the paperwork, pick up the keys and start the mammoth task of trying to fit the shop out, all within 48hrs to open for business that Saturday.. We begged.. borrowed.. and roped everyone in we knew to help make our dream come true. Thanks to the Teeside Gazette for capturing it....

In July 2018 - Tony took his own life, the shop became a lifeline for many going through similar pain, and I was left alone to run and learn a retail business.

By November that year I was a mess of juggling life, shop and training for The Spine, and persuaded Heather to start working together, she brought sunshine into the shop as we supported each other through more traumatic times.

September 2019- Heather had left and Lee started at the shop full time, bringing a wealth of experience as a GB runner, sports science background, extensive knowledge of injuries, a running coach and experience from the distribution side of retail, previously working with Beta selling Ultimate Direction and Injinji, as well as having competed worldwide in trail racing and training.

March 2020 - COVID hit and we again faced more testing times along with the rest of the World.

2021....fingers crossed our 4th year of trading has fewer bumps in the road than the previous! :-)

As always with me the bumps continue.....

2022 Lee chose to return to his previous occupation and moved back to Sheffield.

Sarah has now joined the team with a wealth of background in track, orienteering and fell, along with being a level 3 qualified coach and a very good coach at that!

The Saturday boys team increased with Tom, Harry, Tristan, James and Frazer, their customer service and racing is second to none!

2023- 1st January we relocated to the amazing new shop in Gt Ayton, after another 48hr shop fit, no sleep a huge move and lots of help from wonderful people, if you haven't been come along its stunning!

A new year and a new beginning in all aspects of shop and life, fingers crossed the bumps start to get more runnable......

Shelli xx

So the journey continues..... #enjoythejourney

Opening Lets Run in March 2017 Shelli and Tony's main aim was to help both beginners and experienced runners alike by giving the best service possible.  Since opening the reviews have been amazing. You can see them HERE

Tony HOLLAND 1974-2018 RIP

Tony started running from the age of 12 thanks to a neighbour (Bill Campbell) who helped to enrol him in Gosforth Harriers, later moving onto Cramlington Harriers until he switched from running to Football, Tony went back to running soon after his son Jack was born. Jack was born with Down Syndrome so Tony wanted to raise money for the local support group, After a number of Great North Runs Tony moved into longer races as found the further he ran the more money people donated.
