FLYSPEED™ Pro midsole foam provides a cushioned and bouncy ride, while still allowing ground feel on technical terrain. This, coupled with a BOOMERANG FOOTBED, offers maximum shock absorption and energy return during long-distance runs. 

Get a firm, dependable grip over soft or muddy ground with the TRAILTALON™ MAX’s graphene-infused rubber grip. This outsole, with its 6mm lugs, will gouge through soft terrain and keep you moving. 

Feel secure, but free to move with the TRAILTALON™ MAX’s anatomical fit. When tightening your shoelaces, a MET-CRADLE tightens to form a protective cradle from your heel to midfoot, keeping you feeling secure and locked-in. At the front of the shoe, the toe box widens, giving your toes room to naturally splay as you strike the ground and push off again.

The TRAILTALON™ MAX is available in a choice of fits: Standard and Wide. Go standard if you have narrow feet, or prefer a closer fit. Go Wide if you have wider feet or prefer more room when running long distances.

The VJ MAXx2 is a versatile, well cushioned and fast trail running shoe for alternating terrain.

The shoe features our new SuperFOAMance midsole, which is made of hi-tech and ultralight nitrogen infused material that offers extreme cushioning and energy return. This new foam is a modern, supercritical foam that is lighter, more responsive, more comfortable and more propulsive than a traditional EVA foam. Compared to other foams, SuperFOAMance is more durable and does not rip as easily.

The midsole is finished with a full length rock plate that protects the runner’s feet from sharp edges and pertruding branches. The rock plate also makes the shoe torsionally more rigid and increases energy efficiency.

The MAXx2 features VJ’s famous Superior Contact -outsole made of our own butyl rubber compound, offering the best grip on the planet in any terrain.

The upper is light, breathable and durable one-piece upper.  The last is shaped like a foot, which together with the upper offers maximal comfort and performance.

VJ’s innovative Fitlock-system offers an optimal fit for the shoe by locking the foot from the arch. It also offers extra protection by protecting the arch from the impacts the foot is facing while running.

Long-term cushioning for trails

The VJ Ultra 2 is a step up in cushioning on the VJ MaXx, with 27mm and 33mm of EVA at the heel and forefoot respectively. This extra amount underfoot offers a more protective and cushioned ride for those longer distances, while the 6mm heel-to-toe drop keeps the foot sitting nicely.

The feel of the midsole in the VJ Ultra is not so much a 'soft' one with a distinctive bounce such is the case with many shoes these days, but it delivers a more controlled landing and energy return to ensure that the Ultra 2 provides that nimble and stable feel on trail you need (particularly technical ones). This is even more so in the second iteration of this VJ model with the addition of a new rock plate - this not only now adds full foot length protection but also further minimises energy loses on each footstrike. Once these have been for a few runs you're feet will bed nicely into them to create a really personal fit and running experience.

Sometimes more cushioned shoes give you an unsettling degree of uncontrollability over your feet yet despite the Ultra's higher stack height, this does not become a problem. This is down to a combination of things: a wider footprint and fit for the foot to work with in a more responsive way; the firmer midsole foam takes away that less stable and unpredictable 'squish' (think how difficult standing on a soft pillow is); the tried and tested Fitlock system that provides superb support around the foot; and simply a well honed shoe geometry for a smooth and controlled ride.

The last on the VJ Ultra is a medium+, which is suitable for a wide variety of runners. With the Ultra 2 a little added forefoot space gives you comfort, balance and stability and good toe wiggle room for when the miles rack up. A 6mm heel-to-toe drop also encourages a more natural foot strike and therefore improved running economics over longer distances.

If you're in need of more cushion yet don't want take a knock to your running confidence on trails and particularly technical terrain, the VJ Ultra really stands out amongst the sea of max cushioned trail shoes in this regard.

Phenomenal Grip

The Superior Contact outsole is produced from VJ's famous, very special, rubber compound, butyl rubber, which really does indeed provide "the best grip on teh planet". Ensuring grip on a multitude of surfaces, the increased coverage of this rubber at the forefoot not only enhances the traction on your runs, but also reduces lateral flexion in the toebox area which in turn reduces foot chafing and rubbing.

Fitlock ensures fit

The innovative system is designed to improve the fit of the shoe, making it feel like part of your body. Integrated with the lacing, the Fitlock system tightens the shoe on the inside and under the arch of your foot to provide superb foot hold and support.

The upper on the VJ Ultra is made of durable and breathable mix of Kevlar® fibres and nylon. It excels in the toughest of terrains and endures all conditions, making the Ultra a fantastically durable and trusty footwear companion for all your running.

The VJ IRock 4 has been upgraded with a soft antislip heel to make sure that the shoe shapes better to the foot and that the foot stays inside of the shoe even during the toughest of performances. The upper’s design has also seen some small tweaks to enhance the fit of the shoe.

The VJ Irock has long been the most aggressive VJ shoe without metal studs for softer conditions. Its specifically designed lug configuration gives optimal grip when it's slippery but still sheds loose debris that could otherwise become attached. VJ’s signature Butyl rubber completes the outsole giving the IRock the world-famous grip it is known for.

The Schoeller®-Keprotec® upper featuring aramid fibres is incredibly durable and protective with the Fitlock system providing added protection and a personalized fit around the foot arch. With its precision fit and amazing grip, the IRock has long been an orienteers’ favourite but has in recent years shown its class in everything from obstacle course races to the most technical of skyraces.

With performance in mind, this shoe is best suited for shorter to middle distances in softer terrain and is in a class of its own from snowy descents to muddy trails.

Run fast on pavements, paths and roads with the ROADFLY - a road running shoe made with trail running know-how.

For the ROADFLY we've taken a trail shoe, and stripped out the technology you don't need, while leaving what you do. The result is a lightweight road running shoe that benefits from some of the unique features that we've developed for the trails.

Paved and road surfaces are often uneven and rough. A MET-CRADLE creates a locked-in feel by creating a supportive cradle between top of your foot and your arch, helping you to feel more stable when running over broken or uneven ground. At the same time, a Meta Flex groove in the shoe adapts, reacts and moulds to uneven terrain. This groove makes the ROADFLY less rigid and works with your foot's midtarsal joint to increase flex and mobility.

A highly responsive, but cushioned road shoe, the ROADFLY benefits from the combination of a BOOMERANG FOOTBED and POWERFLOW PRO midsole foam. These two combine to deliver outstanding cushioning and bounce as you run over the hardest of surfaces. Grip is provided by a rubber outsole ensures you have traction on slick road surfaces, allowing you to keep your footing in wet conditions.

The Ribelle Run LT utilises many of the technologies, and retains the awesome stability and protection inherent in the Ribelle Run 2, but adds an extra 2mm of drop- from 4 to 6mm - and is reinforced with a 3d bio-based print on the upper.

Sole

PRESA® TRN-09 Sole developed for ‘all-round’ Trail Running activities, for medium and long distances in mountainous environments. The enlarged size and multidirectional design of the studs increase the contact surface with the ground and ensure good grip on mixed terrains, providing stability, traction, and protection. The result is a versatile sole ideal for tackling any outdoor path.

The upper is built with Sock-Fit LW by SCARPA construction, featuring a lightweight and super breathable mesh bootie with heat-sealed reinforcements, which guarantees a precise and even wrap around the foot, while still providing outstanding comfort and flex at the ankle collar, tongue and forefoot.

Version II of the model dedicated to the world of Ultra races and long-distance training, characterized by exceptional cushioning, thanks to the innovative Infinitoo high energy return technology.

 New materials for the upper with Eco-Friendly contents and new constructions for the heel and tongue that ensure grip, enveloping and breathability, significantly reducing its weight.

Recycled Sandwich Mesh Upper

The upper of the Jackal II has been constructed from a recycled sandwich mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot muggy air.

No-sew Thermo-adhesive TPU reinforcements add durability throughout alongside a recycled abrasion-resistant mesh lining for added breathability and long-lasting wear. This highly abrasion-resistant upper will prevent any damage from being caused, which will allow you to push yourself harder, safe in the knowledge that you won't cause damage to the shoes.

The mesh also boasts lateral side panels in Net-Mesh for maximum ventilation and climate control. Additionally, the upper features an updated protective TPU toe cap, using recycled materials, that protects the front of the foot against trail hazards such as rocks and roots.

A new tongue construction and recycled mesh material help to maximise breathability whilst also reducing weight. The completely redesigned heel features a new construction also as well as new materials to ensure a greater snug fit and grip to reduce in-shoe slippage and enhance comfort.

Lastly, a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot and offers a customisable and secure fit. An added passage at the toe of the lacing gives a greater adaption of volumes and an overall comfortable, wide fit is designed perfectly for use over long distances.

EVA Midsole with PU Infinitoo Technology

The midsole on the Jackal II is designed to provide the perfect balance of fluidity, stability, and flexibility. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely firm and will absorb shocks instantly. This will prevent them from reaching the sole of the foot, and it will also improve the stability of the shoe by spreading the energy evenly. The EVA towards the top of the midsole is softer, which will provide underfoot cushioning. Infinitoo technology has also been used within the midsole to provide cushioning, stability, and shock absorption. The front element increases the cushioning, the rear insert contributes to the stabilization of the run. The midsole also incorporates a high-density EVA Rock-Shield for a more stable run with a rock-guard effect. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite Hybrid Mountain Running Ergonomic 4mm footbed which provides ample underfoot cushioning and increased moisture management so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.

Dual Compound FriXion Red Outsole

Grip and traction are provided by the Frixion Red outsole. This will guarantee that you have a supreme hold on uneven ground, as the outsole is able to create a strong link between the shoe and the ground. The rubber is also extremely durable, which will improve the longevity and functionality of the outsole. The dual mix compound delivers a perfect combination of grip, long-lasting wear and shock absorption. An aggressive lug design will dig into wet ground, which will anchor the feet in place securely, which will give you more confidence when the ground becomes more uncertain. Fitted with an Impact Brake System, the outsole will assist with technical descents, which will relax you as you head down the hills.
