Supportive, technical short has great stretch and freedom of movement. This short offers good coverage of the thighs.

Our founder has a Phd in textile chemistry, so fabric is a pretty big deal for us. The eco-conscious, breathable, moisture wicking, fabric we’ve found for these shorts feels just right next to the skin. Made from recycled yarn, it’s amazingly supportive, while still lightweight and stretchy enough not to slow you down. The tried and tested length of the shorts prevents any ‘riding-up’ or chaffing when you are in full stride, and comes with a secure back zip pocket, and a stash thigh pocket.

Stretch Polyamide (18% Lycra) yarn fabric is high-wicking though not cool-to-feel which can be a discomfort with some close fitting, high Lycra content leggings. Grip strips prevent the legs riding up when high stepping over tusocks and bogs.

On the track; an athlete wears a Lycra, on the mountain; a mountaineer wears a Gore-Tex Proshell. Kamleika takes the athlete onto the mountain with a shell layer that protects from wind and rain while stretching to give freedom of movement and so aiding athletic performance. Highly breathable, lightweight and now even more durable in a new Nylon face fabric. Kamleika is the choice for people who have recognised that they may have to wear a waterproof all day and yet still head for the fells anyway.

The Kamleika was, and still is, the original stretch running waterproof. Running in the mountains, in the rain, throws up as many challenges for kit as it does for people. This is particularly true when designing a waterproof pant where a blend of properties must be achieved. Running shorts are among the hardest bits of kit to get right and it’s certainly difficult to find a pair that works for you. We think the all-new Women’s Dyno manages it. Removing bulky stitch lines, shaping the fabric panels and liner to create a comfortable short without extra weight or excess fabric has been a long-standing challenge but here they are.

The all-new bonded construction of the Dyno Short provides unrivalled comfort. Paired with the supportive and breathable, colour-contrasted brief lining and a wide waistband plus handy storage on the move.

The 6″ inseam Flexile 4-Way stretch Nylon shell is wind and water resistant but extremely breathable whilst the Nylon stretch liner is comfortable over any distance. Both fabrics work together to wick away excess moisture and dry quickly, mile after mile.

By reducing potential rub points with flatlock seams and bonded overlays plus moving stitching away from areas of friction and an extra wide waistband means we have produced what we believe to be our most comfortable short yet.
