Meet GEL X - The next-generation high-carbohydrate energy gel from Kendal Mint Co

built for athletes who need bigger fuelling numbers without carrying half a shop in their pockets.

Each gel delivers 45g carbohydrate in a 1:0.8 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio, plus 200mg sodium and 500mg key electrolytes. The neutral cooling taste is designed to stay easy when you are several hours in and tackles flavour fatigue.

We recommend you Consume 1 gel during prolonged endurance exercise to meet your specific fuelling requirements and Carbohydrate targets.

Carbohydrate Targets

  • 1 GELX Every 1 hour = 45g Carb /hour + 200mg Sodium
  • 1 GELX Every 30 Mins = 90g Carb /hour +400mg Sodium
  • 1 GEL X every 22 minutes 30 seconds (2⅔ gels per hour) = 120g carbohydrate + approximately 533mg sodium per hour

GEL X contains 45g of the new 1:0.8 Maltodextrin-to-Fructose Carbohydrate blend, and 4 Key Electrolytes including 200mg Sodium.

Always think ahead and stay on top of your energy levels, eat pro-actively not reactively, to avoid hitting the wall.

  • Eat well before you start exercising and take your first gel within 30-60 minutes into your activity, take one gel every 30 minutes thereafter.
  • Our energy gels are much less viscous than most and isotonic, but we would still recommend having some water.
  • It's a good idea to mix it up with some GEL+ Caffeine energy gels. Caffeine is scientifically proven to boost your physical endurance. (...but don't exceed the recommended GDA).
