First developed in 1973 to a specification set by Olympian and later London Marathon founder Sir Chris Brasher, The Classic was the first pack to look at weight as a key part of a bag’s functionality.

This is a smaller capacity version of the already popular latest iteration, suited to smaller frames or those looking to strip their Mountain Marathon Kit to the minimum.

The Classic range balances weight, accessibility on the move, comfort (at all speeds of movement) and multi-function componentry.

This is the pack that just works. Perfect for an OMM but also at home on something easier like the MDS, UTMB, Spine Race, Dragon’s Back, Grand2Grand, 4 Deserts, Fire Ice Ultra, or Everest

It just does everything really well. It’s a Classic.

Geometrically built to be stable when running on hills. The Classic has a closed-cell EVA padded shoulder harness specially constructed without side seams to allow the pad to follow the body’s natural contours. The waistbelt can be used to move weight onto the hips with heavier loads or removed for a faster, lighter shoulder carry option.

A good Mountain Marathon team will take advantage of the all round stretch mesh pockets on the Classic.

They stash their quick access kit such as waterproofs, food & water in their partner’s pockets so they can run behind and select what they like.

For the rest of us this means easy to reach stretch side pockets that will easily hold two bottles each and a rear stash for dirty trainers after a run or anything else that can stand a bit of weather.

The lid strap can be moved to attach at the top of the pocket for even more stretch volume. Up front the waistbelt pockets total 2L capacity and have key clips so phones compasses favourite goodies- it’ll all go in.

Designed both for multi-day outings and daily training. The Classic pack comes with a variety of attachment points depending on what kit you need to take.

Add the Chest Pod and front bottle holders for multi day ultra racing.

The Bearing Tee uses a double layered Polyester fabric knitted to create a mesh with excellent wicking properties. Removing moisture from the skin is essential for comfort and safety when on the hill. Moisture is a great conductor of heat and our bodies sweat to cool and regulate our core temperature. Great while being active but at rest you want to keep that heat whilst you plan your next move; put up your tent or enjoy a cup of tea on the finish line. Dry skin also experiences less friction and so reduces rubbing beneath pack or waistbelt

Swedish company Polygiene are leading in garment treatments that prevent the buildup of bacteria on clothing and skin. This benefits skin health by preventing surface infections and also removes unpleasant odours created by bacterial breakdown of sweat. Not a pleasant subject but we all sweat; this regulates temperature, lubricates the skin and washes oils and dirt out of our pores. Unfortunately, this also provides everything bacteria wants to multiply. Polygiene uses Silver ions (naturally occurring) to prevent the bacteria multiplying. This is a two-pronged attack interrupting the genetic programming of bacteria and also preventing them producing more cell surface which they need to divide in two.

Now in it’s 6th Generation, the original Kamleika stretch waterproof was first released in 2005 and rapidly attracted many fans, not to mention a few imitators.

Known for its unmatched next-to-skin comfort, freedom of movement and protection in harsh conditions; the Kamleika has been specifically designed to the demands of the mountain runner.

Named after the garment worn by the Aleut people of the high Arctic on the shores of the Bearing Sea, though no longer constructed from the innards of sea otters; like the Aleuts, mountain runners require a waterproof and protective, yet lightweight and packable layer that is unrestrictive and moves with them.

The 5th generation of Kamleika introduced the tough Nylon face fabric whilst the 6th now includes a PFAS-free bio membrane and PFC-free DWR treatment.

This has allowed us to drastically reduce the environmental impact of the jacket’s manufacture and use, no longer using the “forever chemicals” that are incredibly harmful to the natural world but without compromising the performance of the jacket in the harshest conditions.

With 4-Way stretch, soft feel and great breathability, the Kamleika fabric looks, feels and even sounds like a softshell but with the fully waterproof membrane, taped seams and DWR, it offers the waterproof protection needed to move confidently in bad weather.

C-ZERO CONSTRUCTION & PLANT-BASED MEMBRANE

Using a PFC-free DWR and a PFAS-free bio-membrane has removed the long-chain carbons and forever chemicals from the manufacture and use of the Kamleika, reducing the environmental impact of the fabric whilst maintaining the performance we demand from it. The new bio-membrane is derived from plant-based materials and is a much more sustainable option that is at the cutting edge of membrane technology.

Expandable side pocket access allows for carrying of waterproofs to water bottles.

The ULTRA RANGE now utilises the INFINIOMM manufacture process, utilising a single polymer (in this case, Nylon) to enhance the ease of recycling and forward processing.
