The NEW Ultra 8 is designed for training and racing.  The innovative diaphragm strap enables loosening or tightening the fit on the move for stability and comfort when necessary.  Expandable side pocket access allows for carrying of waterproofs to water bottles.

This latest iteration of an already popular pack offers the same stability and capacity of the previous generation but now with the added benefit of a more sustainable construction.

The ULTRA RANGE now utilises the INFINIOMM manufacture process, utilising a single polymer (in this case, Nylon) to enhance the ease of recycling and forward processing.

CIRCULAR MANUFACTURE WITH MONOPLASTICS

PROBLEM: Current recycling practices cannot easily split polymers. Products with a mix such as Nylon and Polyester can only be recycled (if at all) into lower-grade products with a high degree of wastage. This means a less useful end product and the rest going to landfill. To create new products requires the use of more virgin material (often crude oil) and a greater demand on resources.

AIM: Reduce world resource demand, landfill and waste

SOLUTION: Circular Manufacture – aims to use 100% of a product again and again whilst maintaining quality, without the need for 1st use ‘virgin’ materials and zero waste.

HOW: The Ultra Pack Range has been updated to use a single polymer throughout. Each pack is entirely constructed from high-quality Nylon; including zips, fabrics, webbing and buckles; the works!

The Y-shaped Harness distributes pack weight over a larger area and so reduces pressure on the shoulders. The wider distribution also makes for a more stable carry.

Riding high on the back for better stability also allows for the use of a diaphragm strap, combining both chest and waist harness into one. This can be adjusted on the fly as the load changes. Still compatible with OMM Pack Accessories

The large mesh dump pockets on each side are perfect for water bottles or snacks and can be easily accessed whilst on the move.

Technical Details

After 55 years at the heart of British mountain running, OMM has partnered with traction experts Vibram to create its first footwear – the Fell Shoe. A purpose-built fell running shoe rooted in OMM’s mountain heritage and technical innovation.

We set out to build a shoe that inspires confidence in the mountains. A shoe you can’t outrun. A shoe that grips when it matters most – in mud, bog and rough mountain ground – whether you’re on a marked trail or well beyond it.

Working with Vibram, we combined three of their advanced traction technologies with OMM’s real-world mountain running experience to create a super-aggressive sole and bespoke lug pattern. Lug depths range from 8–11mm for maximum hold in soft ground and rock, while a 4mm drop and a weight of 272g deliver a light, precise and agile feel on technical terrain.

The Fell Shoe holds its line when conditions deteriorate – clawing up sodden hillsides, following narrow sheep tracks across steep ground, or throwing yourself downhill in weather that would stop most runs before they start.

The OMM waist pouch is a comfortable bag designed for everything from fell races to long and short runs.

The elastic compression straps allow you to carry garments on top of the bag, with wraps over the front to compress and secure the bag whilst moving.

The elasticated pocket on each side allows for quick access items like energy fuels.

OMM - Waterproof Repair Patches

OMM repair tape is a self-adhesive, transparent and flexible repair tape that comes in a series of common pre-cut shapes, which can be further cut to fit many shapes of rips and tears. It is excellent for repairs on generally flat fabric surfaces such as waterproof jackets and clothing as well as, backpacks, tents, and any performance fabrics.

OMM repair tape is perfect for fast, easy and long-lasting repairs; it is almost impossible to tear, abrasion resistant and comfortable against the skin.

These repair patches take up no space and weigh nothing yet let you get on with your adventure despite any unfortunate mishaps with barbed wire or rocky edges.

An ultra-lightweight and breathable waterproof pant that packs down to the size of a tennis ball. Ideal for when you want to move fast & light in safety. Constructed using slimline, fully taped seams in our PointZero H20 2-layer waterproof fabric. When combined with the Halo Smock the Halo suit weighs a total of 190g.

Fully race compliant, these overtrousers are designed to not weigh heavy in a pack when not needed but perform to a high standard when the weather turns. The wide elasticated waist band is comfortable when the rain persists and the pants stay on for longer whilst the raised rear panel helps keep a seal between jacket and pants under a pack.

Combined with the Halo Smock, the Halo Pant has a combined weight of 190g whilst still providing a high level of protection and performance. The Halo Pant is ideal for lightweight running in mixed conditions.

A running pole is a very simple thing but with a few tweaks and innovative design features, we have elevated the Z-Lite Pole to more than just a cheat stick. With the ergonomically shaped extended EVA grip and integrated channel for stowing the velcro closure, we have created a much more functional and practical option for those that value good design as well as pure weight saving.
