Recycled Sandwich Mesh Upper
The upper of the Jackal II has been constructed from a recycled sandwich mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot muggy air.
No-sew Thermo-adhesive TPU reinforcements add durability throughout alongside a recycled abrasion-resistant mesh lining for added breathability and long-lasting wear. This highly abrasion-resistant upper will prevent any damage from being caused, which will allow you to push yourself harder, safe in the knowledge that you won't cause damage to the shoes.
The mesh also boasts lateral side panels in Net-Mesh for maximum ventilation and climate control. Additionally, the upper features an updated protective TPU toe cap, using recycled materials, that protects the front of the foot against trail hazards such as rocks and roots.
A new tongue construction and recycled mesh material help to maximise breathability whilst also reducing weight. The completely redesigned heel features a new construction also as well as new materials to ensure a greater snug fit and grip to reduce in-shoe slippage and enhance comfort.
Lastly, a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot and offers a customisable and secure fit. An added passage at the toe of the lacing gives a greater adaption of volumes and an overall comfortable, wide fit is designed perfectly for use over long distances.
EVA Midsole with PU Infinitoo Technology
The midsole on the Jackal II is designed to provide the perfect balance of fluidity, stability, and flexibility. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely firm and will absorb shocks instantly. This will prevent them from reaching the sole of the foot, and it will also improve the stability of the shoe by spreading the energy evenly. The EVA towards the top of the midsole is softer, which will provide underfoot cushioning. Infinitoo technology has also been used within the midsole to provide cushioning, stability, and shock absorption. The front element increases the cushioning, the rear insert contributes to the stabilization of the run. The midsole also incorporates a high-density EVA Rock-Shield for a more stable run with a rock-guard effect. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite Hybrid Mountain Running Ergonomic 4mm footbed which provides ample underfoot cushioning and increased moisture management so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Dual Compound FriXion Red Outsole
Grip and traction are provided by the Frixion Red outsole. This will guarantee that you have a supreme hold on uneven ground, as the outsole is able to create a strong link between the shoe and the ground. The rubber is also extremely durable, which will improve the longevity and functionality of the outsole. The dual mix compound delivers a perfect combination of grip, long-lasting wear and shock absorption. An aggressive lug design will dig into wet ground, which will anchor the feet in place securely, which will give you more confidence when the ground becomes more uncertain. Fitted with an Impact Brake System, the outsole will assist with technical descents, which will relax you as you head down the hills.
